Insanity and Weirdness; The ingredients to be a success
I was at a pitching event, watching young entrepreneurs pitch their ideas and businesses, and during the Q&A session, the Guest of honor who happens to be a successful entrepreneur was asked, "What do we need to be successful entrepreneurs?", His answer took me by surprise and I was bewildered. His answer was, "To be successful in anything, we need to be insane and weird about what we do". After a while, I started getting all what He meant when He said that.
Insanity in a good way(not insanity like a mad or mentally retarded person haha) is actually great. If you have a dream or a passion or a mind blowing idea that you want to embark on, you need to be insane about it. You need to love it, own it, work tirelessly towards achieving it. One need to be insane to do all of that. Most of the time, the people that care too much and working continuously towards their dreams are considered crazy or insane or sometimes weird. These are the people that boldly believe that they can change the world. Eventually, they do change the world, finding solutions to societal or community problems. They are problem solvers.
The insane, crazy and weird ones are not afraid of failure. In fact, they see failure as a stepping stone for success. They're are not afraid of taking risks in life, after all they're insane, right? They're risks takers and with that insane attitude, they end up being successful in life and they're the trendsetters. Therefore, if you want to be successful in life, believe in yourself and follow your passion or dream like you're insane or crazy or weird about it.

DeleteVery good one! A great beginning in sharing your thoughts to the world in helping shape the mindsets of young minds. Indeed, it is good to be Insane and weird about something you totally believe will bring a positive impact on Society. Many people tend to dampen their visions and aspirations due to societal pressures, probably from friends, family members, or critics, but when you believe in something and pursue it to the latter, you will make that difference that's been eating you up.
